Who are we?
Andy Crerar - Chairman PDF Print E-mail

After leaving the RAF in 2005, my wife and I had no hesitation in settling in Elgin, as we have been in this area since 1984. As a football fan I grew up in Greenock supporting Morton, and when their Trust was set up I joined immediately. When I moved into Elgin there was no doubt in my mind that supporting Elgin City was the right thing to do. Although I still am a avid follower of Morton, I regard Elgin as my first team, and when a Supporters Trust was first talked about, having seen the great sucess of other Trusts around the country, including Morton's, I backed the idea 100%.

As Chairman of Elgin City Supporters Trust I am fully determined to see the growth of the Trust and to give backing to Elgin City FC for their continued sucess both on and off the park. I hope as many of you as possible can join our Trust and help us achieve our aims.

I have followed Elgin City for most of my 55 years. I moved to Elgin from Aberdeen when I was 7 years old. I do have a soft spot for Aberdeen, and followed them through the mid 80's to late 90's, but I always looked for the City score after a Dons game. When I was a kid, I followed the City all over the Highlands when they were in the Highland league. I also followed them to Greenock, Glasgow(twice) Methil(the old Bayview) when they played in the Scottish Cup.

I am now committed to the progress and welfare of Elgin City, and I believe this can only be done through the Supporters' Trust. It is the best way forward.
